We at CPP are deeply saddened by the brutal death of George Floyd at the hands of a police officer in America. It has shown inequality, racism and discrimination still scar black peoples’ lives across the world. For the black community it is a painful reminder of the parallels in the systemic racism here in the UK.People should never have to live in fear or live with oppression.
At CPP we are proud of our values and our commitment to diversity and inclusion and stand in unity against racism. We have always sought to create a sense of belonging for our most marginalised and under represented members. We are committed to listening, learning and evolving as an organisation so we can challenge inequality wherever we see it.
We welcome your thoughts and feedback on ways we can continue to make positive changes to CPP and further support our members.
If any member or their family needs support at this time or would like to talk to someone or would like access to information or resources, please do get in touch.
