The Carers’ Support Centre in Bristol provides support, information and advice to carers living in the Bristol and South
Gloucestershire areas. We are dedicated to supporting the work of unpaid carers who give their care to a family member or friend who could not manage without this help due to frailty, illness, disability or mental ill health.
We have recently launched a new initiative providing carers the opportunity to have a break, with or without the cared for in two holiday caravan park locations – one in the Cotswolds and one in Devon. We have 8 caravans in total, 4 of which are fully wheelchair accessible. These are designed to offer carers an affordable, much needed break and change of scene. The feedback so far has been really positive and a break in a different environment in stunning English countryside can make an enormous difference
